Position Overview
Leads the JT&E Support Team and serves as the primary liaison to Assessments and the broader APEX organization. This role aligns people, priorities, and project capacity to customer needs while maintaining continuity, executive visibility, and disciplined delivery across the team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Team Lead / APEX Liaison:
- Translate Assessments and APEX priorities into clear team objectives, project sequencing, staffing decisions, and execution priorities.
- Maintain senior-level customer relationships and synchronize JT&E support with Capability Directors, Assessments leadership, and adjacent APEX organizations.
- Oversee portfolio health, workload balance, project risks, staffing coverage, and delivery quality across all active projects.
- Ensure project teams produce decision-ready CARs and non-materiel products, including TTPs, CONOPS, CONEMPs, DOTmLPF-P recommendations, and related operational products.
- Serve as senior reviewer and escalation point for major findings, transition recommendations, stakeholder conflicts, and execution barriers.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of non-materiel operational products, including TTPs, CONOPS, CONEMPs, CARs, and related decision-support products, as appropriate to the role.
Required Skills and Experience
- Senior-level experience leading multidisciplinary teams in DoD, federal mission, operational analysis, experimentation, or capability integration environments.
- Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and ability to translate senior-leader direction into executable work.
- Working knowledge of joint operations, mission analysis, non-materiel solution development, and evidence-based decision support.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities while protecting mission continuity and team performance.
Work Environment
- Primary work location is Falls Church, Virginia, supporting OUSW(R&E), Prototyping & Experimentation, Assessments, and APEX.
- Collaborative, cross-functional project pod environment working alongside government, military, engineering, analytical, and industry partners.
