Job Title: Phlebotomist – Dayton VA Medical Center (VAMC)

Positions: 3 FTE (3 Phlebotomists)
Overview:
Team PAC Group LLC is seeking experienced Phlebotomists to provide on-site phlebotomy, specimen collection, and laboratory support services at the Dayton VA Medical Center (VAMC). This role supports eligible VA beneficiaries and must meet or exceed current national standards of care consistent with a state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility (e.g., College of American Pathologists standards).
Period of Performance: 6-month base period + one (1) optional 6-month period
Credentialing/Onboarding: Estimated 6–8 weeks (VA process)
Responsibilities:
• Perform venipuncture and capillary collections in accordance with VA and facility policies and procedures.
• Perform inpatient and outpatient specimen collections, including timed, STAT/ASAP, and routine draws as required.
• Positively identify patients prior to collection and ensure accurate specimen labeling prior to processing/transport.
• Process specimens as required (e.g., handling, preparing, and routing samples per lab procedures).
• Maintain strict infection control practices and safety standards (PPE, sharps safety, biohazard handling).
• Safeguard protected health information (PHI) and follow all privacy/confidentiality requirements.
• Identify, document, and assist with the resolution of collection and specimen integrity issues.
• Deliver professional, patient-centered service and collaborate with clinical/lab stakeholders to prevent service issues.
Requirements:
• Citizenship/Work Authorization: U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
• Demonstrated competency in phlebotomy procedures and specimen handling.
• Ability to read, speak, and write English proficiently.
• Ability to successfully complete VA credentialing, onboarding, and any facility-required health screenings/training before start.
Compensation:
• Hourly Rate: $27.00
• Wage Determination (WD): $19.22/hr
• Health & Welfare: $5.09/hr if benefits are not provided
Start Date:
• Anticipated Start: After VA credentialing/onboarding completion (estimated 6–8 weeks from candidate selection).
