Job Summary:
PAC Group LLC is seeking an SME/Logistics Specialist to support PEO Soldier’s mission to equip and modernize the U.S. Army. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing logistical and warehouse operations supporting Soldier systems—including sensitive equipment and decommissioned weapons. The SME/Logistics Specialist ensures strict accountability for serialized items, maintains compliance with applicable Army and federal regulations, and provides end-to-end logistics support for field demonstrations, static displays, exhibitions, and Soldier feedback events.
This role requires frequent travel to support capability demonstrations and stakeholder engagements and serves as a professional representative to military personnel, government officials, industry partners, and civilian audiences.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, packing, and distribution of equipment and materials.
Manage inventory control for serialized and sensitive items, ensuring accurate documentation and accountability.
Conduct cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation of inventory records to maintain data accuracy.
Manage equipment decommissioning processes, including demilitarization tracking and secure storage of weapons systems.
Support and conduct static displays and Soldier capability demonstrations nationwide.
Set up, operate, and present equipment at events, highlighting operational benefits and modernization objectives.
Engage with Soldiers, military leadership, government stakeholders, industry partners, and the public to explain PEO Soldier products and emerging technologies.
Serve as a professional ambassador for program messaging and mission representation.
Develop, coordinate, and execute transportation plans for domestic travel and shipping to installations, events, and demonstrations.
Coordinate with freight carriers, shipping providers, and government transportation offices to ensure compliant, on-time movement of assets.
Support field activities, including setup/takedown, loading/unloading, and equipment movement at events, test sites, and units.
Forecast logistical requirements and support procurement of supplies, packing materials, and handling equipment.
Maintain readiness of logistics equipment and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.
Maintain detailed tracking and reporting of serialized assets using approved systems and databases.
Ensure adherence to Army policies, property accountability standards, and physical security requirements.
Prepare and manage shipping documentation (e.g., DD Forms, bills of lading, customs paperwork as required, and chain-of-custody records).
Coordinate with Product Managers, Public Affairs, and operational teams to support program timelines and deliverables.
Provide logistics input during planning meetings for demonstrations, testing, training, and stakeholder events.
Assist with fielding and sustainment activities supporting equipment deployment to operational units.
Qualifications Required:
Proven experience in logistics, warehouse operations, supply chain management, or related operational support roles.
Ability to travel up to 50% to support mission requirements (primarily military installations; occasional overseas travel may be required).
Strong communication skills and comfort presenting to diverse audiences.
Working knowledge of property accountability and serialized equipment control.
Ability to lift, move, and transport heavy equipment and event displays.
Meticulous attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability.
