Position: Anesthesiologist (Board Certified/Board Eligible)
Position Type: Contractor, Full-Time (Six (6) positions)
Location: On-site, Hampton VA Medical Center (Hampton, VA)
Schedule: Daytime shifts + home call
Hourly Rate: $300.00
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology (ABA)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications
- U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder
- Recent clinical practice within the last 6 months
Responsibilities
- Provide general and regional anesthesia for surgical procedures
- Pre-anesthesia evaluation & post-anesthesia care
- Maintain patient safety per ASA guidelines
- Participate in on-call coverage, including home calls
- Collaborate with surgical and nursing teams
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with VA policies
- Uphold the VA mission to serve Veterans with excellence
