Position: Grant Management Specialist

Location: Arlington, VA (On-Site)
Clearance: No Secret Clearance Required

Salary Range: $90K – $95K

Position: 

Contract Duration: 4 Years (1 Base Year + 3 Option Years).
Work Type: Full-Time, In-Person.
Salary: $90,000 – $95,000 per year.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in any field with at least 24 semester hours in accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, or industrial.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification: Federal Grants Management Certification (within 6 years) from a recognized body (NGMA, MCI, GPCI, etc.).
  • Experience: Over 3 years of experience reviewing and recommending on federal grants and cooperative agreements.

Skills:

  • Ability to analyze, advise, and recommend on grants and cooperative agreements.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work within teams.
  • Note-taking during official meetings and familiarity with OMB 2 CFR 200 Regulation.
  • Knowledge of Federal Grant Regulations and policy implications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Grants Management: Oversee all phases of the grants lifecycle, including planning, evaluation, award, post-award management, and closeout.

Liaison:

  • Serve as a liaison between DoD, applicants, and grantee organizations.
  • Compliance: Review applications for compliance with federal regulations and DoD guidelines. Complete reviews within 7 business days.

Data Submission:

  • Submit data to federal and DoD websites and monitor the status of federal fund obligations.
  • Financial Oversight: Review and approve financial reports from grantees for accuracy and compliance.
  • Audit Support: Participate in audits and implement corrective actions.
  • Risk Assessment: Evaluate applicants’ risks and provide recommendations for compliance.

Documentation:

  • Create and maintain action items and minutes for Technical Review Committee meetings, process awards, and manage amendments.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure grant compliance and reporting.
  • Assist with the coordination of Congressional notifications for grant awards.
  • Travel to other government or grantee sites as needed.
