Job Description
Team PAC Group LLC is seeking a Senior Strategy, Plans, and Policy Planner to support strategic communication and operational planning efforts under a five-year contract at MacDill AFB. This role provides planning support across joint operational processes and helps integrate public affairs and communication strategy into operational plans, mission execution, and contingency response.
The selected candidate will support Joint Planning Teams and Operational Planning Teams, contribute to mission analysis and plan development, and coordinate with staff, Combatant Command partners, coalition stakeholders, and interagency organizations. This position is ideal for a planning professional with Combatant Command experience and a strong understanding of how communication strategy supports operational objectives.
Salary Range: $105K – $115K
Requirements
Planning Support
- Support Joint Planning Teams (JPTs) and Operational Planning Teams (OPTs) across the planning cycle
- Contribute to mission analysis, course of action development, wargaming, and plan execution
- Assist in the development of operational plans, annexes, supporting documents, and planning products
- Must have an understanding of the joint operations planning process, focused on public affairs, activity, social media, and how messaging can be intertwined with mission.
- Background in the CENTCOM AOR and regional geopolitical environment.
- Experience supporting Public Affairs and Information Operations in operational military environments.
- Knowledge of joint doctrine, including JP 3-61 (Public Affairs) and JP 3-13 (Information Operations).
- Regional media analysis experience across traditional and social media.
- Direct experience working with media personnel and supporting media engagement efforts.
Public Affairs Strategy Support
- Develop Public Affairs Guidance (PPAG), talking points, and communication support products
- Help integrate communication strategy into operational plans and planning efforts
- Coordinate messaging and communication support requirements across internal and external stakeholders
Coordination & Collaboration
- Work with components, other Combatant Commands, coalition partners, and interagency organizations
- Participate in planning forums, boards, bureaus, centers, cells, and working groups, including B2C2WG activities
- Support synchronization of communication efforts.
Situational Awareness & Reporting
- Maintain awareness of priorities, operational activities, and planning requirements
- Develop reports, planning recommendations, and decision-support products for leadership
Crisis & Surge Support
- Provide planning support during crisis and contingency operations
- Support surge requirements, including extended hours and time-sensitive mission needs
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of planning experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience at a Combatant Command or equivalent organization in an information-related field such as Public Affairs, Information Operations, Key Leader Engagement, or Civil Affairs
- Experience supporting joint planning processes and operational planning teams
- Strong writing, analytical, and coordination skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Joint Professional Military Education (JPME I)
- Corporate communications or marketing experience
Security Clearance Requirement
- Active TS/SCI clearance required
Work Requirements
- Ability to support travel and operational planning requirements
- Availability to support surge operations during crises and contingencies
