Credentialing/Onboarding: 6–8 weeks (VA process)

Overview
PAC Group LLC is pursuing a government contract and is building a pipeline of Board Certified / Board Eligible Psychiatrists to provide on-site psychiatry physician services for eligible beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) at the Central Alabama Veteran Health Care System (CAVHCS). Providers must deliver care consistent with current nationally recognized standards and VA policies, while meeting all credentialing, privileging, and mandatory training requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment services for VA beneficiaries in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and facility policies.
- Document all clinical care in the VA’s electronic health record (EHR) and comply with all VA mandatory education/training requirements.
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary clinical teams and support clinic operations as required by the facility.
- Adhere to the facility’s Medical Staff By-Laws, rules, and regulations governing medical staff conduct and clinical practice.
- Maintain clinical competency and provide documentation upon request (licensure, board status, CME, and certifications).
- Support staffing coverage requirements, including replacement coverage when scheduled staff cannot complete a shift (replacement expected within 2 hours per PWS).
Minimum Qualifications:
- License: Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State/Territory/Commonwealth or D.C.
- Any history of restriction, suspension, revocation, voluntary surrender pending action, or denial upon application will disqualify you for this requirement.
- Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) (or VA-accepted equivalent per solicitation).
- Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS (or equivalency).
- Technical Proficiency: Fluent in English (speak, read, write, understand) and clinically proficient to perform all required services.
- Credentialing & Privileging: Must successfully complete VA credentialing/privileging in accordance with applicable VHA requirements. No services may be provided until privileges are approved by the facility’s governing boards and Medical Center leadership.
- CME Compliance: Maintain required CME/CEU to keep licensure/certifications current; provide documentation as requested for privileging and re-privileging.
Compensation:
- Candidate pay rate: $180/hr

- Anticipated start is after VA credentialing/onboarding (estimated 6–8 weeks after selection/award-dependent timelines).
