Physician – Primary Care
Location: Saint Cloud VA Health Care System, Montevideo Community-Based Outpatient Clinic, Montevideo, MN
Position Summary
Provide one full-time Primary Care Provider (MD/DO, PA, or ARNP) to deliver outpatient primary care services as part of the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) at the MCBOC. The provider delivers comprehensive care in accordance with VA clinical standards.
Hours of Performance
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- 80 hours per pay period, with up to 5 additional hours/week for approved activities
Workload and Clinical Expectations
- Average 12 patients/day
- Appointment times: 30–60 minutes
- Assessment and management of walk-in Veterans
- All services provided on-site
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care
- Serve as an active PACT team member
- Conduct evaluations, diagnoses, treatment, and follow-up care
- Manage acute and chronic conditions
- Deliver preventive care, health promotion, and patient education
- Complete all clinical documentation
- Participate in training, administrative duties, and quality improvement
Required Qualifications
Licensure: Full, unrestricted license in the U.S. (MD/DO, PA, or ARNP)Board Certification: Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Life Support Certifications: BLS, ACLS (current)
Credentialing and Privileging: Complete VA credentialing per VHA Handbook 1100.21(1) and Directive 1100.20
Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated clinical competence; fluent in English
Citizenship Requirement: U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
Compensation
- Hourly rate up to $205.00
