Position Overview
PAC Group is actively identifying qualified Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Registered Nurses (RN – Geriatric) to support the VA Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS) across multiple California locations. This opportunity is a proposal, meaning candidates will be submitted and pre-qualified while the contract award is pending. Qualified candidates should be available to onboard quickly upon award.
Contract Details
- Contract Length: 36 months (base year with option years)
Schedule:
- Full-time equivalent (FTE)
- Work Setting: On-site clinical coverage
- Shift Assignment: Determined by facility and unit needs
Work Locations

- Menlo Park, CA
- Livermore, CA
Compensation
- LPN Rate: $55.75/hour
- RN Rate: $67.09/hour
- Rates are inclusive of Service Contract Act (SCA) requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to geriatric patients within VA Community Living Centers
- Deliver nursing services consistent with state-of-the-art civilian healthcare standards
- Accurately document patient care in accordance with VA clinical documentation requirements
- Comply with all VA policies, procedures, and infection control standards
- Complete all mandatory VA training, onboarding, and annual compliance requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active LPN or RN license (no adverse history)
- Minimum two (2) years of recent clinical experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to successfully complete a VA background investigation
- U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
- All employment gaps must be clearly explained on the resume
