Job Title
Our team is seeking six (6) Field Deployment & Maintenance Technicians – Surveillance & Intelligence Systems (1099 Contractor).


Overview

We are seeking a dependable and technically proficient Field Deployment & Maintenance Technician to support the installation, operation, maintenance, and sustainment of advanced surveillance and intelligence systems in operational environments. This role requires hands-on fieldwork, adaptability to changing schedules, and the ability to work independently in proximity to active military installations and in austere conditions.

The contractor will collaborate closely with engineering teams, program managers, and military stakeholders to ensure systems are deployed, maintained, and operating in accordance with mission requirements.


Training Program
Training will follow the OSRA program and include drone flight operations, manufacturing fundamentals, surveillance, troubleshooting, and infantry-related instruction. If required, clearance sponsorship will be provided.

Position Location
On or near U.S. military installations. South Carolina, Florida, Oklahoma, and North Carolina, including Camp Lejeune (NC), Parris Island (SC), Eglin Air Force Base (FL), Luke Air Force Base (AZ), and Gulf region bases.

 

Contract Start/Project Duration:

  • We expect the contract to begin in April or May 2026.
  • 1-year project

  • The position includes a one-year probation period and has the potential to become a four-year contract.
  • Travel may be required based on deployment needs

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy, install, configure, and maintain surveillance, sensing, and intelligence-related systems in field and operational environments
  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of deployed equipment
  • Support system upgrades, component replacements, calibration, and configuration changes
  • Conduct field testing, validation, and performance verification
  • Document maintenance actions, system status, and field observations in clear technical reports
  • Coordinate with on-site military personnel and project leadership to meet operational needs
  • Operate safely and professionally in austere and harsh environmental conditions, including temperature extremes, inclement weather, dust, wind, precipitation, and low-light or night operations
  • Support day, night, and extended shifts as mission requirements dictate

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizen (required)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain access to U.S. military installations (background checks required)
  • Prior experience with field deployment, maintenance, or sustainment of technical systems (e.g., surveillance, ISR, communications, electronics, robotics, sensors, or similar)
  • Strong hands-on mechanical, electrical, and/or electronic troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in field conditions
  • Capability to lift, transport, install, and service equipment in non-climate-controlled environments
  • Willingness to work outdoors and indoors in harsh environmental conditions and variable schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working on or near U.S. military installations
  • Familiarity with ISR, surveillance, sensing, or communications systems
  • Military or defense contractor experience
  • Experience operating in deployed, remote, or austere environments
  • Active or previously held security clearance (preferred but not required)

Work Environment & Conditions

  • Field-based work on or near military installations
  • Exposure to extreme heat and cold, wind, dust, rain, snow, and uneven terrain
  • Day and night operations, including low-light environments
  • Physically demanding conditions, including extended periods on foot or standing
  • Irregular schedules driven by operational tempo

Contract Structure

  • 1099 Independent Contractor
  • Compensation commensurate with experience and scope of work
  • Travel expenses reimbursed per contract terms (if applicable)
