Position Overview:
Team PAC Group LLC is seeking an experienced Civil Construction Superintendent with a strong background in DOT bridge, marine, and heavy civil construction. This position is responsible for managing day-to-day field operations on complex infrastructure projects, ensuring work is performed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with DOT specifications and contract documents.
This is a hands-on leadership role based in Connecticut. The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of DOT standards, subcontractor coordination, and field execution for bridge and marine construction projects.

The Superintendent will oversee and manage all field operations at assigned project sites. Project assignments will be based on the individual’s skill set and experience, with responsibility for directing daily construction activities, ensuring safety compliance, and coordinating crews and subcontractors to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.


Required Experience & Expertise:
• DOT Bridge Construction (Required)
• Heavy Civil Construction
• Bridge Construction
• Marine Construction
• Minimum 7+ years of superintendent experience on DOT-regulated projects


Key Responsibilities:
• Direct and manage all daily field operations for DOT civil construction projects
• Interpret and execute work in accordance with DOT specifications, plans, and contract documents
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and agency representatives
• Develop and maintain project schedules, including weekly look-ahead schedules and recovery plans
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards
• Enforce site safety programs, OSHA compliance, and DOT safety requirements
• Conduct daily site inspections and toolbox talks
• Monitor productivity, material usage, and equipment performance
• Maintain accurate field documentation, reports, and daily logs
• Proactively identify and resolve field issues, conflicts, or delays


Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Experience working directly with DOT officials and inspectors
• Proficiency with scheduling and field reporting tools
• Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence


Compensation and project assignment will be determined by the candidate’s background, including:

  • Size and scope of projects previously managed

  • Type of work experience (e.g., marine construction, bridge work, structural steel, deep foundations)

  • Complexity of past projects

  • Safety performance record

  • Number of crew members supervised

  • Years of experience in a Superintendent role
